The crowd at Friday's league test between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the host Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX), saw Vela's soccer squad get by Pioneer by a margin of 2-1.

The Sabercats now sport a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial for a 5A Region 4 District 31 test on Monday, March 11. Vela will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-12.
