Illinois High School Basketball - Hononegah tops Rockford Auburn
January 5, 2024: Rockford, IL 61101 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) and the host Rockford Auburn Knights (Rockford, IL), saw Hononegah's basketball squad knock off Rockford Auburn by a tally of 60-48.
With the victory, Hononegah improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Jefferson (Rockford, IL) to play the J-Hawks in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge on Monday, January 8. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Jefferson won 47-39 in their recent league challenge against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the Knights play the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Rockford Auburn will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The J-Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 50-45 league loss to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL).
