Illinois High School Basketball - Waltonville overwhelms Carlinville
January 29, 2022: Waltonville, IL 62894 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL) and the visiting Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL), saw Waltonville's basketball squad wallop Carlinville by a tally of 58-32.
With the victory, Waltonville improves its record to 2-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Grayville (Grayville, IL) to confront the Bison in a Midland Trail challenge on Friday, February 4. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 1-14. Grayville lost 67-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL)
Next up, the Cavaliers confront the Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Carlinville will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 8-15 record after their 55-37 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
