The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Mt. St. Mary Academy (Little Rock, AR) and the visiting Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR), saw Mt. St. Mary Academy's volleyball squad nip Van Buren by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Mt. St. Mary Academy upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The travel to Russellville (Russellville, AR) to play the Cyclones in a non-league bout on Sunday, September 19. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Russellville won 3-1 in their recent league bout against North Little Rock (North Little Rock, AR)

The Pointers now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Rogers Heritage for a non-league bout on Monday, September 20. Van Buren will play a War Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Har-Ber (Springdale, AR). The War Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
