December 15, 2023: Marks, MS 38646 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) and the host Palmer Dragons (Marks, MS), saw West Tallahatchie's basketball squad overcome Palmer by a tally of 61-45.
With the victory, West Tallahatchie improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Choctaws travel to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-4.
Next up, the Dragons confront the South Panola Tigers (Batesville, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Palmer will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 72-52 league loss to Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS).
