The Gilbert Indians softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Cheraw Braves to 4 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Gilbert improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Indians host Wilson Hall (Sumter, SC) to clash with the Barons in a non-league game on Saturday, March 5. The Barons come into the game with a record of 1-0. Wilson Hall won 11-0 in their recent non-league game against West Florence (Florence, SC)

In their next game, the Braves clash with the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a AA Region 4 game, on Friday, April 1. Cheraw will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
