Kentucky High School Soccer - Bourbon County held off by Anderson County
August 19, 2023: Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Anderson County Bearcats (Lawrenceburg, KY) and the visiting Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY), saw Anderson County's soccer squad get by Bourbon County by a count of 3-2.
The Bearcats now hold a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Woodford County for a District 30 test on Thursday, August 24. Anderson County will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Bourbon County drops to 2-3 on the season. The Colonels host Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY) to meet the Titans in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 22. The Titans come into the test with a record of 2-3. Mercer County won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Southwestern (Somerset, KY)
