Alabama High School Basketball - Georgiana topped by Monroe County
December 12, 2023: Monroeville, AL 36460 The Monroe County Tigers basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Georgiana Panthers to 51 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillcrest for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Monroe County will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 44-14 non-league win over Central (Hayneville, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-5.
The Panthers (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Luverne (Luverne, AL). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Luverne prevailed over McKenzie (McKenzie, AL), 60-15, in a non-league contest.
