Oregon High School Basketball - St. Helens prevails McNary
January 3, 2012: Keizer, OR 97303 St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McNary Celtics (Keizer, OR), 52-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Helens upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Lions host Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts (Milwaukie, OR) to encounter the Mustangs in a 5A Northwest Oregon bout on Friday, January 6. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts lost 79-71 in their recent non-league bout against Barlow (Gresham, OR)
Next up, the Celtics encounter the Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. McNary will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Gophers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 47-45 non-league win over The Dalles-Wahtonka (The Dalles, OR).
