Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) backers went home content Saturday as they observed their basketball team run past the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 61-41 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Falcons face the Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 11. Independence will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Pioneers enter the game with a 2-2 record after their 31-29 non-league win over Mission Oak (Tulare, CA).
