In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Thornton Trojans basketball team scored a tight 44-41 triumph over the Lincoln Lancers.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Middle Park Panthers (Granby, CO) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, January 4. Thornton will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 50-42 non-league win over Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO).
