The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting El Paso Leadership Academy East Leaders to 40 in the SonBlazers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The SonBlazers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mescalero Apache for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Mesilla Valley Christian School will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 50-46 non-league win over Elida (Elida, NM). The Chiefs record now stands at 3-0.
