The Red River Roughriders basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Shanley Deacons to 62 in the Roughriders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Roughriders now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fargo North for a A East contest on Friday, March 4. Red River will meet a Spartans team coming off a 68-58 non-league loss to Devils Lake (Devils Lake, ND). The Spartans record now stands at 11-9.

The Deacons (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sheyenne (West Fargo, ND). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record.
