April 22, 2024: Carrier Mills, IL 62917 The Dongola Demons softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats to 8 in the Demons non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Dongola moves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Demons host Cobden (Cobden, IL) to clash with the Appleknockers in a South Egyptian game on Friday, April 26. The Appleknockers come into the game with a record of 2-8. Cobden lost 20-5 in their recent league game against Egyptian (Tamms, IL)
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Pope County Pirates (Golconda, IL) in a Greater Egyptian game, on Thursday, April 25. Carrier Mills-Stonefort will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Pirates enter the test with a 7-13 record after their 6-4 league loss to Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL).
