Kansas High School Basketball - Bennington can't hold off Sterling
January 7, 2022: Sterling, KS 67579 The Sterling Black Bears basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Bennington Bulldogs to 52 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Black Bears now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Plains for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 11. Sterling will battle a Oilers team coming off a 65-42 non-league loss to Macksville (Macksville, KS). The Oilers record now stands at 0-8.
The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Moundridge (Moundridge, KS). The Wildcats enter the Heart of America contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Moundridge nudged Marion (Marion, KS), 78-19, in a non-league contest.
