New Mexico High School Basketball - Alamogordo nips Deming
January 11, 2022: Deming, NM 88030 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) and the host Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM), saw Alamogordo's basketball squad hold off Deming by a tally of 45-39.
With the victory, Alamogordo improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Knights in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, January 14. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Organ Mountain won 71-42 in their recent league challenge against Gadsden (Anthony, NM)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 14. Deming will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 62-60 league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).
