The Magna Vista Warriors basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Halifax County Comets to 48 in the Warriors league victory on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bassett for a Piedmont contest on Tuesday, January 18. Magna Vista will battle a Bengals team coming off a 61-29 league loss to George Washington (Danville, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 2-10.

The Comets (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans come into the Piedmont contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Tunstall was routed by Martinsville (Martinsville, VA), 53-22, in a league contest.
