The North Hopkins Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats to 41 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brook Hill for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. North Hopkins will battle a Guard team coming off a 46-37 non-league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX). The Guard record now stands at 10-3.

The Wildcats (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Joaquin (Joaquin, TX). The Rams enter the non-league match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, Joaquin was nipped by Brook Hill (Bullard, TX), 56-44, in a non-league match.
