Washington High School Basketball - West Valley overwhelms Southridge
January 2, 2019: Kennewick, WA 99338 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the West Valley Rams (Yakima, WA) and the host Southridge Suns (Kennewick, WA), saw West Valley's basketball squad wallop Southridge by a tally of 76-39.
With the victory, West Valley improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Rams host Moses Lake (Moses Lake, WA) to play the Chiefs in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge on Saturday, January 5. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Moses Lake won 60-48 in their recent league challenge against Eisenhower (Yakima, WA)
Next up, the Suns play the Chiawana Riverhawks (Pasco, WA) in a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia challenge, on Saturday, January 5. Southridge will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Riverhawks come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 63-45 league win over Walla Walla (Walla Walla, WA).
