November 23, 2022: San Gabriel, CA 91776 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA) and the visiting Duarte Falcons (Duarte, CA), saw San Gabriel's basketball squad hold off Duarte by a count of 46-42.
With the victory, San Gabriel upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Fontana (Fontana, CA) to play the Steelers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 26. The Steelers come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Fontana won 52-25 in their recent non-league challenge against La Puente (La Puente, CA)
Next up, the Falcons play the El Monte Lions (El Monte, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 25. Duarte will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 43-39 non-league loss to Mendez (Los Angeles, CA).
