In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) baseball squad triumphed over the host Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM), by a final score of 8-2.

With the win, Thoreau upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Hawks host Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 7. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Mesa Vista lost 20-5 in their recent league challenge against Questa (Questa, NM)
