Florida High School Basketball - Vanguard can't hold off Central

The Central Bears basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Vanguard Knights to 46 in the Bears non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bears now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Central will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 77-72 league win over Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-13.

The Knights (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against North Marion (Citra, FL). The Colts enter the non-league contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, North Marion was nudged by Southland Christian (Kissimmee, FL), 60-47, in a non-league contest.
