Wekiva Mustangs (Apopka, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Evans Trojans (Orlando, FL), 18-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boone for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. Wekiva will battle a Braves squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Lake Nona (Orlando, FL). The Braves record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Evans falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host Lake Howell (Winter Park, FL) to battle the Silver Hawks in a 8A District 9 challenge on Friday, March 8. The Silver Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-1.
