December 23, 2008: Grand Island, NE 68803 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE) and the host Grand Island Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE), saw Lexington's basketball squad hold off Grand Island Northwest by a score of 35-34.
With the victory, Lexington improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Minutemen host Lincoln (Lincoln, NE) to battle the Links in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 9. The Links come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Lincoln lost 70-16 in their recent league challenge against Fremont (Fremont, NE)
Next up, the Vikings battle the York Dukes (York, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 10. Grand Island Northwest will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Dukes come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 56-45 non-league loss to Hastings (Hastings, NE).
