Florala Wildcats (Florala, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Elba Tigers (Elba, AL), 78-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Florala upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Houston County (Columbia, AL) to play the Lions in a 1A Area 2 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-9.

Next up, the Tigers play the Kinston Bulldogs (Kinston, AL) in a 1A Area 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Elba will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 69-52 league loss to Florala (Florala, AL).
