Texas High School Basketball - Connally nips Azle
December 9, 2023: Azle, TX 76020 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) and the host Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), saw Connally's basketball squad hold off Azle by a count of 46-43.
With the victory, Connally upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-7. Fairfield lost 59-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX)
Next up, the Hornets play the Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Azle will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Porcupines come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 53-50 non-league win over Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX).
