Illinois High School Basketball - North Boone holds off South Beloit
January 17, 2019: South Beloit, IL 61080 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) and the host South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL), saw North Boone's basketball squad hold off South Beloit by a tally of 44-38.
With the victory, North Boone improves its record to 3-14 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Durand (Durand, IL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Durand lost 40-26 in their recent league challenge against Dakota (Dakota, IL)
Next up, the Sobos confront the Alden-Hebron/Faith Lutheran Green Giants (Hebron, IL) in a Northeastern challenge, on Tuesday, January 22. South Beloit will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Green Giants come into the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 53-25 league win over Illinois Math & Science (Aurora, IL).
