Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting South Charlotte Thunder Thunder (Matthews, NC), 51-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carmel Christian upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to United Faith Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 19. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 3-1. United Faith Christian Academy won 59-4 in their recent non-league bout against Cabarrus Charter (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Thunder play the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 18.
