Illinois High School Basketball - Geneva tops Antioch
January 20, 2024: Geneva, IL 60134 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL) and the visiting Antioch Sequoits (Antioch, IL), saw Geneva's basketball squad knock off Antioch by a count of 51-34.
With the victory, Geneva upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Metea Valley (Aurora, IL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. Metea Valley won 80-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Aurora East (Aurora, IL)
Next up, the Sequoits play the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) in a Northern Lake County challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Antioch will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 50-36 non-league win over Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL).
