August 26, 2021: Waxhaw, NC 28173 The Marvin Ridge Mavericks volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Charlotte Catholic Cougars to 0 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Mavericks now have a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ardrey Kell for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 31. Marvin Ridge will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers enter the game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Providence gained a win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
