St. Francis Troubadours (Sacramento, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Francis upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Troubadours host Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA) to encounter the Bruins in a Delta River bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 12-10. Ponderosa lost 73-30 in their recent league outing against Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA)

The Fightin' Irish now hold a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Ignatius for a West Catholic outing on Tuesday, January 29. Sacred Heart Cathedral will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 58-42 league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-5.
