Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples holds off Wilton

Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Wilton Warriors (Wilton, CT), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Staples upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Wreckers travel to Westhill (Stamford, CT) to play the Vikings in a Fairfield County bout on Friday, February 3. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Westhill won 82-77 in their recent league bout against Danbury (Danbury, CT)

Next up, the Warriors play the Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT) in a Fairfield County bout, on Friday, February 3. Wilton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 77-40 league win over Trumbull (Trumbull, CT).
