The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Lake Hornets to 37 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 8. Northeast Lauderdale will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-54 non-league win over Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.

The Hornets (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Forest (Forest, MS). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Forest ran past Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 49-46, in a non-league contest.
