In Friday's league match, the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers football squad scored a big 49-16 victory over the Haverford Fords.

In their next game, the Fightin' Tigers clash with the Radnor Raptors (Radnor, PA) in a Central match, on Friday, October 1. Marple Newtown will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Raptors enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 45-14 league loss to Ridley (Folsom, PA).
