In Thursday's non-league contest, the Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Crockett Cougars (Austin, TX), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Raiders battle the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 19. Taft will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX).

With the loss, Crockett moves to 4-10 on the year. The Cougars travel to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX) to battle the Bulldawgs in a non-league contest on Friday, August 19.
