Louisiana High School Basketball - Zachary fells St. Thomas More
January 6, 2024: Zachary, LA 70791 Zachary Broncos (Zachary, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA), 59-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Zachary upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Broncos host West Feliciana (St. Francisville, LA) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 5-9. West Feliciana lost 67-59 in their recent non-league bout against Suncoast (Riviera Beach, FL)
Next up, the Cougars play the Teurlings Catholic Rebels (Lafayette, LA) in a 4A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. St. Thomas More will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 51-43 non-league win over Cabrini (New Orleans, LA).
