Rangeley Lakes Lakers (Rangeley, ME) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME), 52-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rangeley Lakes upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to North Haven (North Haven, ME) to play the Hawks in a D South bout on Friday, January 21. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Hawks play the Richmond Bobcats (Richmond, ME) in a C South bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Sacopee Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 32-25 league win over St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME).
