In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) baseball squad the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), by a margin of 5-2.

With the win, Weddington betters its record to 5-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a Southern Carolina 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 21.
