In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) basketball squad edged the host Sanger Indians (Sanger, TX), by a margin of 40-36.

The Leopards (16-5) will now prepare for their outing against Independence (Frisco, TX). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 5-3 record.

The Indians now own a 16-4 record. They play next when they host Gainesville for a 4A Region II District 9 outing on Saturday, January 6. Sanger will clash with a Leopards squad coming off a 61-47 non-league loss to Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 6-9.
