California High School Softball - Riverside Christian loses to Lakeside
April 9, 2011: Lake Elsinore, CA 92532 The Lakeside Lancers softball team scored 16 points and limited the visiting Riverside Christian Cougars to 1 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Lakeside improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Lancers travel to Elsinore (Wildomar, CA) to clash with the Tigers in a Sunbelt game on Tuesday, April 12. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 0-12. Elsinore lost 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA)
In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies (Downey, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 14. Riverside Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Grizzlies come into the game with a 13-4 record after their 18-0 league win over Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, CA).
Game Summary
The Lancers completed their participation in the Santiago Spring Fling tournament with a resounding 16-1 victory over Riverside Christian. Lakeside was able to take advantage of shaky pithing by the Cougars, collecting 10 hits, working 10 walks and having two hit batsmen. There were no shortage of baserunners and the Lancers were able to cash in in a run-rule shortened game.
