January 19, 2024: Pearl, MS 39208 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) and the host Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), saw Simpson Academy's basketball squad wallop Park Place Christian Academy by a tally of 78-31.
With the victory, Simpson Academy improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Leake Academy (Madden, MS) to play the Rebels in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 21-7. Leake Academy won 56-40 in their recent league challenge against Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Wayne Academy Jaguars (Waynesboro, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Park Place Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 14-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 56-40 league loss to Leake Academy (Madden, MS).
