February 5, 2024: Gonzales, LA 70737 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) and the visiting Live Oak Eagles (Watson, LA), saw East Ascension's basketball squad overcome Live Oak by a tally of 62-49.
With the victory, East Ascension improves its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to confront the Griffins in a 5A District 5 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 9-13. Dutchtown lost 56-43 in their recent league challenge against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Live Oak will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 16-11 record after their 81-45 league loss to Walker (Walker, LA).
