In Saturday's non-league match, the host Mt. Carmel Golden Aces football squad scored a close 24-17 victory over the Benton Rangers.

In their next game, the Golden Aces clash with the Sullivan-Okaw Valley/Bethany Redskins (Sullivan, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, November 4. Mt. Carmel will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Redskins enter the match with a 9-1 record after their 14-13 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, IL).
