Florida High School Football - Merritt Island gets by New Smyrna Beach
August 30, 2013: Merritt Island, FL 32953 The Merritt Island Mustangs football squad scored 32 points and limited the visiting New Smyrna Beach Barracudas to 27 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.
The Mustangs now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Melbourne for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Merritt Island will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 35-0 non-league win over Satellite (Satellite Beach, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
Next up, the Barracudas meet the University Titans (Orange City, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. New Smyrna Beach will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 30-0 non-league win over Deltona (Deltona, FL).
