Connecticut High School Basketball - Cheney RVT crushes Vinal RVT

Cheney RVT Beavers (Manchester, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT), 51-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Cheney RVT upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Beavers host Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (Windsor, CT) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering won 28-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Cheney RVT (Manchester, CT)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Wilcox RVT Wildcats (Meriden, CT) in a Connecticut Technical challenge, on Monday, January 29. Vinal RVT will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 41-11 league win over O'Brien RVT (Ansonia, CT).
