New Mexico High School Basketball - Pecos nips Academy for Technology and The Classics
January 21, 2023: Pecos, NM 87552 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) and the visiting Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM), saw Pecos's basketball squad hold off Academy for Technology and The Classics by a count of 47-43.
With the victory, Pecos upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 15-2. Mesa Vista won 72-57 in their recent league challenge against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM)
Next up, the play the Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons (Santa Fe, NM) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Academy for Technology and The Classics will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 0-15 record after their 58-6 league loss to Menaul (Albuquerque, NM).
