In Thursday's non-league outing, the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) basketball squad beat the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV), by a count of 62-46.

The Patriots (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Grizzlies go into the Coalfield AA outing with a 4-9 record. In their last outing, Nicholas County defeated Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 80-65, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Pocahontas County for a Potomac Valley A challenge on Friday, February 18.
