Illinois High School Basketball - Illinois Valley Central prevails Dunlap
December 19, 2009: Chillicothe, IL 61523 Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL), 55-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Illinois Valley Central upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Grey Ghosts host Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to play the Rockets in a NCIC - Lincoln bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Rock Falls lost 55-45 in their recent non-league bout against Darnall (Geneseo, IL)
Next up, the Eagles play the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) in a Mid-Illini bout, on Friday, January 8. Dunlap will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 61-53 non-league win over Normal (Normal, IL).
