Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH) and the visiting Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH), saw Wellston's basketball squad wallop Clay by a tally of 62-38.

With the victory, Wellston improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Golden Rockets host Athens (The Plains, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-2.
