In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Clay Eagles football squad scored a close 20-15 victory over the Northview Wildcats.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Perrysburg Yellowjackets (Perrysburg, OH) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 2. Clay will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 54-14 non-league win over Bowsher (Toledo, OH).
